The handle made of exotic Amboina wood impresses with its strikingly scattered grain, which in parts is reminiscent of wild carbon fiber. This special structure is due to the tuberous growths in the area of the roots of this type of wood from South East Asia, which gives each knife its unique character. The striking black and and the pleasantly smooth surface of the handle are achieved by stabilizing the wood. In this special process, heated epoxy resin is pressed into the wood pores and and then hardened.
